Illinois-Indiana Chapter
Trip Report, June 2000

In June, the always-active IL-IN Chapter, led by Elmer Guerri, collected 37 species in the Little Wabash River, and 27 species in the Embarass River in southeast Illinois. The trip was in conjunction with Dr. Larry Page's survey of the two rivers, which will provide data for the third edition of The Fishes of Illinois (scheduled completion in 2005). Sajjad Lateef (IL) took a bunch of photos of the trip and posted them on the Web (no longer available).

Right now, Elmer's planning a 3-day mini-convention in Bridgeton, IN for Oct. 6-8. Activities will include a tour of Inland Aquatics and collecting in Big Raccoon Creek. Call Elmer now if you're interested in attending.
