Don't know why I said this. Old brain, too many endemics in too small
a river, just posting before thinking enough. Of course, the fountain
darter still darts among the vegetation in the San Marcos and Comal
Rivers in Texas. It is the San Marcos Gambusia, Gambusia georgii that
succombed to the Interstate 35 bridge and introduced plants (elephant
ears) in the short stretch of river where it occurred. Sorry for the
stupidity.
