Peter -

Do you have access to P. tenellus or know of any recent collection sites? I
tried to come up with a few two or three years ago to test some markers on
but was unable to locate any. I also asked Bill Matthews and Henry Robison
and they both said they were pretty rare - not worth investing a lot of my
time trying to collect. Just curious.

G'day folks

Has anyone out there tried spawning bullhead minnow (Pimephales vigilax)
and/or blunthead (P. notatus) or slim minnow (P. tenellus)? Just curious.
We are about to start messing with fathead minnows for some toxicity
studies, and there is lots of good documentation on breeding them. I'm
assuming vigilax will be very similar. I have no idea about notatus or
tenellus as they tend to be living in very different places to the other
species. I've been keeping notatus and vigilax for sometime, but haven't
really provided any breeding oportunities. Thought it might be fun though
to try breeding them too.
