I can't say what kind of catfish that is, but I would say he's pretty lucky
& tough.
I noticed right away that his caudal fin appears to have been damaged and
regrown, even before I got to the closeup shot.
That sure looks like scar tissue to me on the caudal peduncle. Can't say for
sure if he survived a disease or attack, but my best guess is he escaped an
attack from another fish or turtle, but was tough enough to survive and
regrow his tail.

I think you are correct on your ID, going by the anal fin appearance, but
will certainly defer to those with more experience than me.
