Are you looking for pets, or research animals, or just like to go see some, or what?

If pets, be aware that the animals are not easy to keep healthy unless they have access to strong light including uv -- sunlight not filtered through glass is best. Also, and I don't know about Minnesota populations, but they are declining in a good many places. healthy wild populations probably should not be casually collected.

Maybe a little off-topic but I'm sure some of you can help. I'm looking for sources of softshell turtles (spiny and/or smooth) and mudpuppies. Already captive specimens is best but collecting sites not too far from the Minneapolis or SE MN region would also be helpful.
