With all the heavy rains in North Alabama ponds are running over, creeks are
swollen and water is just everywhere! My neighbor mentioned that they had
Bream (sunfish) going out the overflow and across the pasture. I decided
what the heck, two of my tanks are empty so I figured I would catch a few.
When I got there I was surprised to find several Crappie along with dozens
of sunfish all along the overflow creek.

So I netted 4 crappie and a few bluegills too. I have never kept a crappie
so what will it they feed on? Are they feeder fish only? Any tricks to
acclimating them? I guess if they make it they will go in my new native
tank once I get it set up!
