The only Elassoma that I have spawned is the banded I would think they react
similar to evergladei. I had several pairs in a 10 gallon packed side to
side bottom to top with hornwort. I was feeding frozen brine shrimp and
they never ate it all. One day I noticed how nasty the bottom was with lots
of very old brine shrimp and siphon vacuumed the gravel. The water in the
bucket was black and for some reason I didn't dump it right then. The next
morning it had settled out and I had hundreds of small fry. These fry were
real small and fast green water works well as a first food followed by newly
hatched brine shrimp and micro worms.
