With the adults I brought back from Alabama spawning occur when they were in
full color. Color would last maybe two days and when it came back they
spawned again. They did this maybe 5 or 6 times I would have to look up my
records to figure out how many days between spawnings. The color changed
every time with very orange/pink the first time and each additional time
more blue spots. My one year olds, half grown this summer, often colored up
for longer periods then their parents did while spawning. I found no eggs
from the yearlings.
