Isn't it a bit presumptuous to assume that fish perceive color the same
as we? Heck, even I see color differently than my sister. I can easily
discern the difference between two red pens which she believes to be
virtually identical in color (and I'm the colorblind one). That's just
between humans. Maybe fish are even less able to distinguish contrast
between two objects, but how do we know? Maybe they just eat the gravel
because they are retarded ;)
