I dunno if any of you keep a planted aquarium, or ever have, but aquatic
plant growth rates can be phenomenal. I had a 75G with 22O watts of
fluorescent lighting and CO2 injection. It was not-in-all uncommon for
stem plants to grow in excess of one inch per day, and for sword plants
to go from 4" cuties you see in the store to 24" surface-breaching
monsters in a couple months.
