That more than likely will not work for Grass Pickerel. I had a pair that
laid eggs in my tank a while back and the eggs were quite small about the
size of a cory egg. The linked article states that a musky egg is the size
of a BB so they need a bigger vent. These were so small that I do not think
it would be easy to tell.

However I do think that the females are bigger and plumper than the males.
At least that was my experience.
