Youre kidding me?!?! That's actual color in your tank with those fish?! They look like they are bioluminescing?!?! WOW. Further reason that I MUST go to the Conasauga-in-least once this year to try and see some.

Isn't that the secret to get most things to spawn? Just replace dark box with dark room...

I moved the 40 tall SE native tank last night into what I hope is a
permenant location in a 75 gallon in the ladyfriend's metal house. As I was
netting the fish back out of the coolers to place them into their new home,
I started seeing flashes of MAGENTA. Like, capitalizing it doesn't even
make it prominent enough to be descriptive... Fortunately, I have a camera

You can see how the water is still cloudy lol. They were all into it this
morning, but I made a mistake, freaked them out turning on the lights...
Should have just used the flash since I had enough ambient to get the focus.
They were all immaculate, as opposed to the two you'll see fired up in these
photos.

I have seen a lot of fish from a lot of places in my days... This is the
first I've ever seen of these red-purples. I'm thinking some Halichores
wrasses *might* come close... It seems only inverts produce these vivid hues
of those colors. It's truly incredible.

So... I guess the secret to spawning is to get them into condition, and then
put them in a dark box with each other for an hour.
