That is a nice looking fish and I have found several pics of it. Is there a striped killifish around here? I have not seen any that give this area as part of the range but this fish I caught on Father's day sure looked alot like the fundulus zebrinus(plains killie) with out the red fins and no branching of the stripes. To bad that was a fishing trip and I was unprepared to bring a fish home that was not on ice. I have not seen a pic of a native species that is said to be in my area that looks like this fish as of yet. I am 5 minutes to 3 different rivers as they all go to the man made lake-in-Rock Island. Then ofcourse each of these have alot of springs and creeks feeding them. Our fishing spot is about 15 minutes away(small roads getting there).

Thanks for the kind welcome,
John Cox
