Dear FishFolk,

The OK City Aquarium Club is out-in-Barron Fork Creek near Tahlequah today
on the annual collecting trip. The fishing liscence is $25 I think.

The diversity-in-that site is impressive.

Jim,
Like Peter I can't comment on other states regs, but in OK, anyone
with a fishing license is free to seine minnows as long as they are for
personal use only (bait).

However mesh size is limited to 1/4" and gear length to 20'. Otherwise a
commercial minnow dealers license would be required. "Personal use only"
means exactly that. Technically you can't even trade them for another
species.

Under 16 within county of residence would be exempt from even purchasing a
fishing license.

Baitfish or minnow collection should be covered in your state fishing
regs.
