Probably tambaqui (_Collosoma macropomum_), one of the largest of the
characins used as food in S. America. When I was in Brazil, we ate
them grilled over wood coals. The ribs are the best part. Look up
this fish's life history. It is amazing. In the U.S. they are often
called "pacu," and you will see them displayed as that-in-aquaria.
However, in Brazil that name is used for the several smaller charicins
that we commonly call "silver dollars." The teeth are used to crush
the large fruits and nuts the fish eat, including Brazil nuts and
rubber tree fruits. Tambaqui is one of the characins that shows up
with some regularity in U.S. waterbodies, probably because home
aquarists buy small specimens not knowing that the fish will grow to
80 pounds (well, not in a tank, though I've seen some big ones in
public aquaria).

"Where are we going?" "I don't know, are we there yet?"
