I know that many of you have spawned Pumpkinseeds and quite a few of you =
have "cold rooms" or have developed other methods to stimulate fish to =
spawn that have this cold period requirement. Could you give the young =
gentleman below some tips? I have encouraged him to join the NANFA list =
so hopefully he will become a participant.

Hello,

I am a young man from Germany keeping four pumpkinseeds in my 240l tank. =
I have benn trying spawning them for over two years wihout any success. =
German literature about this is not easy to get and I rather think that =
there is no convincing literatur-in-all. In some of my (German) journals =
about fishes in general I read that centrarchids have to be kept by =
lower temperatures during winter. Can you please tell me how to cool =
them down, where to keep them best and how to feed them during this =
period? I will be grateful for any information.
