Bob,
I've got about 8 eastern mudminnow fry but mine are a bit larger, in the =
10 to 20mm range. They all appear normal and look just like miniature =
adults. Really cool watching them-in-feeding time. Currently I keep =
them outside in an unfiltered 20 gallon tank filled with hornwort and =
riccia and feed them live daphnia, bloodworms, and mosquito larvae. =
They see to be growing pretty fast on this diet and look very healthy.

The one fry I have from the central mudminnow is the oddest fry I have =
ever seen. It seem to have its spine extent beyond the end of the tail =
fin. The tail fin has rays on its bottom half but the area above the =
spine is still a membrain type fin. The fry is about 6mm long. Hunts =
like the adults, it was just drifting head down and snatching newly =
hatched brine shrimp.
