I also want to comment that water drainage/wetlands/natural flood
control/riparian zone functions...clean water resources, and all related
issues alone, are what makes the Mississippi so important an eco-system
which it's good or bad health has impact on us , regardless of diversity. We
should have learned this after Katrina.
