Fishes of Amazonas, Venezuela website now available.

A website with hundreds of live field and preserved laboratory
photographs of fishes collected during three expeditions to the upper
Orinoco, rmo Ventuari, Casiquiare, and Siapa is now available
online. Many of the illustrated taxa, including heptapterid and
loricariid catfishes, characins, cichlids, and knifefishes are
undescribed. Taxonomists with individual specialties are invited to
review the identifications, offer corrections, or request material.
It is our hope that this will be a collaborative resource that will
foster interest in and knowledge of the fish fauna of this species-
rich, and still largely pristine region of South America.
