I've wanted to try another method but have never gotten around to it. I
keep most of my tanks in the basement so most of the yr its fairly cool. But
I've considered digging a hole in the side yard-in-least 3 -4 feet deep,
burying a large coil of tubing which would be fed through a basement window,
I'd pump it into the ground through the window as well. I'm thinking this
would provide water somewhere around 50 degrees f (nice darter water).
Anyone ever try this or have any thoughts concerning it?
