the 2 red spotted newts i placed last week in my heavily planted florida 55
tank climbed out over the weekend from a narrow crack in the back.
dang. why are they not content in the tank?

casper

maybe the water is too warm. ? as all newts ive seen were in coolish water.
mountain lakes, springs.

years before when they climbed out of the water they were still in an
enclosed vivarium. after several days / weeks out of the water they had morphed
into red efts. they ate small earthworms until i let them go.
