Mine come from the North Carolina South Carolina border near the coast. I
think it's called Black Oak Swamp off highway 211. They get to be about 6 to 8
inches long, they are not very common. They stay hidden most of the time but do
come out when food is available. Ghost shrimp seem to be their food of choice
in the wild but they will eat small crayfish and earth worms.
