Probably up in the Killbuck marshes would be your closest bet. Mark Binkley
will have much better information about that than I.
However, I will be coming down to sample on the Little Muskingum in two
weekends. I'd be happy to grab you some of the Oak Openings Best if you'd
like to meet up. I just have to hop into a ditch and I've got 'em.
And to further that idea... You're of course, invited to join us on the
outing, and any one else is invited to attend as well. But I'm not
schedulding a formal outing. This is with some of the guys in my department
who are really gung ho about catching an Ohio muskie, and I don't know how
this will pan out, and I'm in no situation to be worried about it. The
worst case scenario for my lady friend and buddy is... We jet on Saturday
afternoon over to the Scioto watershed, stay at Paint Creek, and enjoy the
fine geological, biological, and anthropological history found in that area
for the rest of our Fall Break. :)
