I would agree that both aquariums mentioned are very good in their own ways,
but Tennessee is not to miss. I would also suggest that you try to hit
Newport Aquarium on the way down. It is just cross the river from
Cincinnatti. If you take the "scenic route" home from Pigeon Forge, you can
shoot up the coast and hit the South Carolina Aquarium in Charleston (very
nice), the Ripley's Myrtle Beach aquarium (carbon copy of Gatlingburg), then
to the North Carolina Aquariums (Roanoke Island, Pine Knoll Shores, and Fort
Fisher), then up into Virginia to the Virginia Marine Science Center, next
into Washington for the national aquarium Washington DC, then the National
Aquarium in Baltimore, followed by the New Jersey State Aquarium, the New
England Aquarium, the New York Aquarium and Atlantis Aquarium on Long
Island, up to the New England Aquarium and on into Norwalk and the Mystic
Aquarium in Conneticut. After here you can head back home and stop at the
Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG aquarium, until you finally hit the crown jewel of
all aquariums, the aquarium here at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo where yours
truly can sit and listen, green with envy, about your experiences at all
those other aquariums (and of course the impending divorce that you will be
going through ;)
