I don't think the glass will be a problem - I keep all-glass tanks under my
carport all winter. Freezes are rare this far south. As for filtration, I
mostly figure it won't be necessary, therefore I can save some money there. I
have thought about adding an Algal Turf Scrubber, which wouldn't be expensive to
build, especially if it's solar powered :-) But the filtration option is open.
I don't have any experience doing this so hopefully you guys will chime in pro
or con on that issue. I don't know if sunlight will really be enough to power
an ATS.
