I went out for a couple of minutes yesterday as well. I caught a Darter, probably
an Iowa Darter, but did not keep him long enough to properly ID. I also got a
couple of neat minnows. Again, not really sure of the exact type. Greenish on top
Silver on bottom and blue in the middle. I kept a few for the pond in front of my
house. Hopefully they will do well and I'll have a whole bunch of "feeders" later
in the year. I had recently found this creek and been wanting to check it out. I
saw a lot of fish, but could not get at them with my dip net. Will have to go back
when I can use the seine (or get a dip net with a longer handle.)
