When I was in High School in beautiful downtown Stoney Creek we caught some
chain pickerel and several small mouth bass. One bass would spend most of
his time resting on his side by a large rock to one side of the tank. Every
day during science class one of my friends would stick his hand in and prod
the fish until, one day, this bass took the tip of his finger off. Rob left
the bass alone after that–although I did encourage him once or twice to play
with the large natteri piranha our biology teacher kept at the back of the
class. (what a maroon!)
