Is it possible to soak and eliminate the zebra mussels in alum? That is a
traditional way (1 tables spoon per gallon, soak for 20 minutes, rinse like
crazy) to get ride of snails, leaches and disease organisms. The alum needs
to be dissolved in a small quantity of warm water before the rest of the
gallon is added.

Thanks and all the best!

Scott
