Likewise. Cars are temporary anyway, so what's a few dents in comparision
to losing your life. It's scary the way deer suddenly appear out of nowhere
in front of your car. I was driving along Rock Creek Parkway, near
Connecticut avenue, a few miles outside Washington D.C., when I narrowly
missed a deer. I must have braked and slowly reaccellerated, because at
that precise moment I hit a second deer that had been following behind the
first. My car nailed him in the rump and sent him flying end over end into
the woods. (The whole incident took about 5 seconds.) Luckily, I had been
going slowly enough so that my car wasn't dented.

Another deer story I've heard--someone was driving his car along the
beltway, the 8 lane super highway that rings the nation's capital. He hit
one deer and totaled his car, which I guess will happen when you're
traveling about 65 mph. He felt ok, but his neck was wet. He touch the wet
spot and then saw blood on his finger. He looked above him, and another
deer had plunged headfirst through the sun roof, severing it's jugular on
the shattered plastic.
