NANFA-- Barrens topminnow sightings

I wore my brand new NANFA t-shirt today -- the one with the Barrens
topminnow on the front -- and boy was it a pretty sight. Casper Cox should
be commended for designing a shirt that at once celebrates the diversity of
fishes we have in North America, commemorates the occasion of the annual
NANFA convention, *and* serves as a fitting memorial for one of the
priceless treasures we have lost (the extinct whiteline topminnow, which is
featured on the reverse). One day this shirt's going to be on e-bay selling
for hundreds of dollars. And just think that I got mine for a mere $20.

In fact, I got my shirt from Casper personally. Two weekends ago Steph and I
were in Chattanooga to attend a wedding, and naturally we had to pay a visit
to the Cox Family Compound. Here's a photo of the swimming pool Casper
turned into a fish pond:

The next day Steph and I drove to Knoxville and visited J.R. and Pat at the
spacious new home of Conservation Fisheries, Inc. We hand-delivered a box of
the beautiful shirts, and got to see some real Barrens topminnows in the
flesh. Everyone agrees it is one spectacular shirt. In case you haven't seen
it, you can check out the design on the front of it here:

Get yours today because it's gonna sell out quick. And once it's gone...it's
gone!
