"swamp eel" refers to Synbranchidae
However, mine are probably Anguillids, they are very small, which will be my excuse for the mis ID. They have eyes, and don't seem to be obligate air breathers, which are characteristics of Synbranchids.

Hi Mike,

Quick question...what are the swamp eels? Are they Amphiuma, Sirens or
are they fish (Anguilla or Synbranchus!?!?!?).

mine has had bad experiences with adults though, they were in a 75 with
gouramis, corys, etc. I guess the tropicals became the object of the
flagfish' aggression.

pygmies only have to put up with H. formosa. :)
