Did this one get past us?

NEW FISH FOUND IN MIDWESTERN RIVER: Biologists have found a new species of
fish, the Chickasaw darter, in the Forked Deer River northeast of Memphis,
Tennessee says Science Daily3/4. According biologist Richard Mayden, Ph.D,
current predictions of biodiversity in North America are underestimated,
bthere is a heck of a lot of biodiversity that has yet to be discovered in
this country . . . even people in cities in inner cities are living among
fish species that havenbt been described or discovered by scientists.b
The
newly discovered darter, just described in the journal Copeia, blike many
other small stream fish, is endangered in its native habitat and should be
considered for state and federal protection.b
