No. As mentioned before, this plant can take very warm water with ease.
My own pools reach nearly 90 all the time, and I think it only makes the
stuff grow faster. If you've never tried this plant outdoors, then you
may be in for a shock. If you thought it grew well in an aquarium, you
ain't seen nuthin yet. In a large pool with full sunlight, an inch a day
is not uncommon. It makes a fantastic nutrient absorber as such.
