Geoff,

The last time that I was out collecting was with Martin Moore a few weeks
ago......

Standing on a bridge looking down into the pond, we saw two distinct groups
of Tail-light shiners, one group in fairly open water and the other group
near aquatic plants......

Martin and I both managed to get a few from both groups...but I suspect that
they prefer still waters and just congregate in area's where feed is
present.

I have not observed any spawning behavior however, so I can't comment on
that.
