Potential buyers of "American Aquarium Fishes" should be aware that there
are only about 8 pages of color photographs in the book, with other photos
printed in black & white. And as in other large ambitious books there are
mistakes, such as stating that Cyprinella galactura, the whitetail shiner,
achieves a maximum size of 3 inches; that would be news to the ones we found
in the Hiwassee River of TN that would be keepers if they were trout.
Anyway, we shall see...
