This one looks the most like a Mississippi valley dollar sunfish , (from the
same ictheles group of sunfish) than any others I have seen. Its so striking
how the megalotis varies so much throughout its range. If anyone has
information on the progress of deciphering the make up of longears and their
respective ranges, I would love to here about it. I could imagine with the
great variation this task must be the " never ending job that took forever"
.
