I, too, have wanted to make a home-manufactured Algae Scrubber, but have
never been able to find plans. Actually, I think I did find a little bit
at thekrib.com, but nothing that could really be put to much use.

I have read that one man (an engineer) actually made one better than the
manufactured ones, but only by first buying a manufactured unit, using it
as a model. I've never seen his design on paper.

Also, there was a DIY scrubber article published by the Aquatic Gardeners
Association, but I've never known anyone who's been able to provide me with
a copy of that article.

Please let me know if you come up with anything.
