Right now I have a so-called "Carrion plant", in the genus Stapelia,
flowering in my greenhouse. Its pollination strategy is to attract flies as
pollinators, and the flowers produce a scent that at best smells like an old
damp laundrybasket full of dirty clothes. Students always love it... usually
the only ones who'll dare sniff it up-close are baseball players.
