I found three cool things in my ponds the other day. First was that a pair
of what I had thought were two male warmouth spawned. Second a freshwater
sponge growing directly on the liner. I only seen a little of it at first,
but would not mistake the green they get when they live symbiotic with
algae. I swished some of the mulm away and the sponge covered an area the
size of an ice cream pail lid. Third, dwarf crawfish cross land much like
there larger relatives. I thought my supply was low in the tub they were
supposed to be in, as they spawned heavily. the pools around the area all
have numbers of dwarf crawfish.
