NANFA-- A couple of items

First, I am appealing to the list for help. At the MMNS (Mississippi
Museum of Natural Science) they maintain a few paddlefish. I have
been observing them over the years and they do not seem to have
grown much at all. They actively feed but are not gaining any real
mass. Does anybody have any practical experience with these
animals, who can offer feeding suggestions?

Also,

I have heard from more than one member that it is difficult to keep
up with threads when you don't know where that person lives.
While many of us already know everybody else, there are quite a
few newcomers to this list who have never been to a NANFA
convention and have never met another NANFA member in person.
Therefore it is most helpful to append your location to your sig file,
as I have done. I challenge the rest of you to do so (even those
who live in "the lawnmower city" :-)

Prost,

Martin

It makes me mad when I go to all the trouble of having Marta cook up about
a hundred drumsticks, and the guy at the Marineland says, "You can't throw
chicken to the dolphins. They eat fish." Sure they eat fish, if that's all
you give them. Man, wise up.
