Hi, Norm. I kept mine for several months in a 29 gallon high, in
rainwater. Fed them frozen foods mostly, plus blackworms. They like a
planted tank, as they don't do much but eat and hide. I kept mine in thick
strands of myrofillium.

They'll do even better in a stagnant backyard tub with java moss or
something else that grows wild. Again, you'll take a lot more out of the
tub in Fall than you put in in winter.
