Thanks for sending me the article, BG. Casper and I went snorkeling for snail
darter with Ed Scott in the French Broad River in September. We only saw one,
but Ed assures us the river has plenty of them.

Since it's a copyrighted AP press story, I doubt we can reprint it. But I will
write a nice summary of it for the Riffles column. It's good to see darters in
the news. Now if we can only get the press to pay attention to all the other
fishes that *aren't* recovering...
