Removing dams is not a practical alternative, maybe some small
ones, but a real stream exiting the dams impoundment and winding along like a
real stream would be an alternative that would be in the realm of
workability. It would allow the impoundment to work more like a natural lake.
Another thing is that impoundment still have streams flowing into them so
there is more habitats than just a deep dead lake at stake.
