I got Fishes of Idaho and Nevada Fish and Fisheries. I browsed through the
Idaho book and found it to be a lot more interesting than I thought it was
going to be. I didn't realize that there are a bunch of rivers than flow
west off of the Bitterroots and then disappear into the aquifers. I also
didn't realize that Shoshone Falls pretty much makes the Snake River two
separate river systems, biologically speaking.

OK, what fish books did you guys score for Christmas?

I got _Aquatic Systems Engineering_.

It makes me mad when I go to all the trouble of having Marta cook up about
a hundred drumsticks, and the guy at the Marineland says, "You can't throw
chicken to the dolphins. They eat fish." Sure they eat fish, if that's all
you give them. Man, wise up.
