When I was setting up a native fish aquarium at a library branch, I suggested
that children be allowed to feed the fish under supervision. The Children's
Librarian (a very nice person) immediately overruled me. When I do my weekly
(well, most weeks) water change and general clean up/maintenance, I usually
bring live or frozen food and invite kids to watch. Always been a big hit so
far.
