in awhile, I dont know if it is off the air here now, or I just havent been
watching the right channels. He had a cool show on about fatheads in a
lake near his area.

Nature Nut is (was) on Animal Planet twice in the morning: 0630 and 0730
central time. It is my all-time favorite nature show. John Acorn has an
extraordinary gift for reaching a very wide audience (little kids to
university professors, judging from his mail). His videotapes are all for
sale and very popular with the kids I work with. He also has 2 CD's of his
original music. They are frequently played as background music in my office
and in our team's lab. John Acorn's aquatic songs are: Rudy the Trout,
Mystery Snail, Dragonfly, Waterbug, There's Nothing Wrong with Frogs, Big
Wet Rodent Day (probably his biggest hit), and Joe Snumm, Fish-at-Large (a
classic). He has his own web site and is featured on some other
coleopterists sites.
