There are a lot of families only found in N.A natively.
gar(possibly into South America ??)
bowfin
cavefish/swampfish
pirate perch
trout perch /sand roller
pygmy sunfish
sunfish (true)
sorry about no latin names, but I can't remember them all off the top of my
head.
these I am sure have representatives in other Continents
lampreyes
sturgeon
paddlefish
eels
mooneyes
minnows (true)
trouts/saloms
burbot (cod)
pike./mudminnows
sticklebacks
killifish
catfish
perch/darters
cichlids
I'm not sure on sculpins, drums, surf perches, and silversides.
some of these may now be broken down in different ways, but these are my
answers, i hope I didnt forget anyone =)
