I thought I'd might as well chime in...Sorry I'm late but I've been ill..

I use both in the course of my work as a photographer for The University of
Washington (here in the mecca of civil unrest).

The decision as to whether or not do go digital mostly depends on your final
output. If you're doing pretty small prints, web use, or are able to crank
out the stuff on a high quality ink jet or dye sublimation printer than go
digital 'sometimes'.

Otherwise, as all have already said, stick to film. There are many
advantages which I won't get into unless prompted. It'll take up too much
space.

P.S. my initial tests with my small photo tank haven't gone as well as I'd
wished either. Too many reflections. It's back to the drawing board
