Article shows a postcard copyrighted 1907 titled "Only Fish Scale House in
the World." House is small, two story structure, ostensibly made of more
than 3 million scales from 16,000 drum. It was apparently a tourist
attraction but location and details are unknown. Photographer worked in New
York, Pennsylvania, Florida and New Jersey and points in-between. Surviving
copies of the card are either unused or have inconclusive postmarks. In the
words of the author, 'the enigma remains.'
