Several species of wrasse have moved from one side to the other, including
species separated since the isthmus rose 3 million years ago. Some of these
have apparently hybridized, esp. on the Pacific side. This is off the top of
my head; references exist. Other stuff has moved, too. The Suez Canal may
have had the greatest impact on fauna, with many Red Sea species moving into
the eastern Mediterranean.
